Schools forum & CA's school board endorsements

Speaking of Memphis City Schools, tonight there is a forum hosted by Stand For Children from 6 to 8 p.m. at the MCS Teaching and Learning Academy, 2485 Union Ave. You can RSVP by e-mailing memphis@stand.org or calling 417-9691.

Our editorial board made its recommendations for those two MCS board seats being contested. I'll not list them here, but click the link -- they provide sound reasoning for picks that might surprise people. That's not to say that, on a personal level, I may or may not disagree, but as a neutral third-party, I can only say there are candidates in both races that had good arguments for getting the vote of this parent of Memphis City Schools students.

Joyce is a highly active and respected fiction writer within the above leading International site for writers, as am I. She has also been "big enough" to speak out against a very small number of anonymous members, who cruise the work of this best-in-class community, and intentionally and aggressively try to create distress, havoc and damage.

The above comment was posted by such a "writer", who has previously been banned from WEbook due to his (or her) intentionally destructive behavior to many. He reappeared several hours ago, yet again under a new, anonymous identity, where he sadly publicly announced his intention to use your respectable publication (and other channels) as his battle field to attack Joyce.

Feeding his ego with the penname S.King, (he used to call himself "Stephen"), his pathetic "declaration of war" is posted under the name L_Egoiste2, at:

http://www.webook.com/project/The-Character-Schedule-Challenge

I would expect the children in Joyce's class behave more responsibly and maturely that this delusional megalomaniac.

I hope this irrelevant comment thread will now die. Anything else would simply feed the ego of this unfortunate, anonymous penalty of our new social networks paradigm, who calls himself l_EGOiste2 whilst believing he is somehow connected to Stephen King.
